Our winter passed — as always, with gravel on the roads, and I got two chips on my Jeep Compass on the highway between PG and Quesnel. One was patched at Speedy, but the second one had already cracked, and in April I had to replace the entire glass. I also researched everything — the same “Auto Glass Stores in Prince George, BC” fall out everywhere, but everyone has a different approach, and if it weren’t for my friend’s experience, I would still be choosing. In short, I contacted All-West Glass on Victoria Street. They really know the business. First, I signed up through the website — and a couple of hours later a girl named Carly contacted me. Very politely, calmly explained everything. They asked for photos of the damage and the VIN — and based on that, they gave a preliminary estimate. They said that they work directly with ICBC, and if I have Comprehensive, then the payment will only be the deductible — for me it’s $300, but for some it’s less. I arrived the next day. The appointment went smoothly, no rush, they explained the whole process, gave me a piece of paper with recommendations after installation. I chose not the original glass, but Pilkington - they install these most often, and the price is normal. The technician explained that the quality is quite comparable to the factory one, especially for cars older than 5 years. The work was done in 1.5 hours. The waiting room is normal, there is tea/coffee, everything is clean. What was especially pleasing was that they actually vacuum the inside, check the tightness with water and even reminded me about the wipers (which you should not turn on right away until the glue “sets”).

Useful topic, thanks for the experience! I also thought that replacing glass means at least a week without a car, but here, it turns out, you can do it in a day or two. I'll take note of All-West, especially since ICBC covers it.
